Matthew McCrae

Matthew McCrae is an Investment Operations Associate at Capital Advantage. As a member of the investment team, Matthew provides investment and market commentary, security selection and analysis, portfolio management strategies, and asset allocation recommendations. Additionally, Matthew helps to maintain the organization’s portfolio management, asset allocation, and trading systems.

Matthew began his career in finance in 2017 as an Investment Advisor at AXA. He later joined Morgan Stanley’s FP&A team, where he developed deep expertise in financial analysis and strategic planning. Most recently, he led portfolio strategy and client engagement at a registered investment advisory firm in San Jose. In early 2025, he brought his expertise to Capital Advantage.

Matthew has lived in Fremont since 2019 and loves walking around Lake Elizabeth with his girlfriend, Toni. He is an avid sports fan who roots for the Golden State Warriors, Cincinnati Bengals, New York Mets, and Chelsea Football Club. His hobbies include luxury travel via points and miles and collectibles of all types.
