Colin Taylor, CFA

Colin Taylor is a Principal and the Director of Investment Management at Capital Advantage. Colin holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is an Investment Advisor Representative. As a leader of the investment team, Colin provides investment and market commentary, security selection and analysis, portfolio management strategies, and asset allocation recommendations. He is also responsible for the operation and maintenance of the organization’s portfolio management, asset allocation, and trading systems.

Colin began his financial services career in 2001 as a Mutual Fund Analyst for Prima Capital in Denver, Colorado. From 2002 through 2006, he worked for TechFi Corp. and Advent Software, Inc. (acquired by TechFi), providing out-sourced back office operations support to investment advisors. In 2006, Colin joined a private wealth management firm in Oakland, serving as the Director of Operations. He joined Capital Advantage in 2011.

Colin lives in Oakland. In his time outside of work, he enjoys hiking, bicycling, reading, and playing the guitar.
